I got sick and tired of having no standards. Sick of not being a savage, of not having my own opinion, of being scared to walk away, of having to listen to someone when I don’t feel like listening, tied down to certain people that I don’t want around me, always worried about making everyone else happy, dealing with people who don’t respect my mood, and choosing others over myself. The list goes on and on.
It all starts with simply asking yourself why. Then, with a piece of paper, analyze: How did I end up with these behaviors I don’t even understand? What is the solution? Start changing everything about yourself to fit your needs. It doesn’t matter if it takes years, because you can use the vast real estate of your brain at any given time, pull the information or behaviors you need, and use them to your advantage.
All the beliefs you have were probably given to you by the things around you over time not just your education, but also your body language, the way you speak, the way you get things your way, how you use the English language, and so on.
Exercises/Lesson Summary:
- Nothing will go your way until you start questioning yourself about everything. Literally everything. Why am I like that? Why did that happen to me? Question yourself. It might be hard and devastating when you understand what’s happening, but once you go through it, you’ll truly become a better version of yourself.
- After why comes what. Basically action, but not that toxic nonsense action that makes you do everything you hate. Be nice to yourself, take the time you need with the promise to take action later in the future while trying your best to enjoy the process or! every process in life. Remember? You want to love the game, whatever game it is that you are playing.
- You need to start adding, removing, and changing the information or aspects of yourself. In the title it says that no one is allowed to bend those personality traits you’re modifying, but at the same time this can be dangerous if you don’t keep adapting and possibly changing for the better. Don’t stick to something that is not helping! and it all starts with a simple question, Why?
- Break things down. The more you break things down, the more you understand. Break things down until you hit the atoms. Steel has atoms. Water has atoms. A glass of water can be broken down into so many things. The same strategy can be used when you don’t understand until you do. Then proceed to become a master, an expert, and so on.
